No, don’t. You don’t get it. Maybe you would if you had let me tell you some of the things that have scarred me in the past, but you wont, so just know that for 10 months you made me question my whole concept of boys, feelings and relationships. Now I don’t know what to make of anything. Are you buttering me up with words so that you get laid tonight, or do you mean that? And I cant get your accusation out of my head: Married men get more than you??? What else do you think when I’m lying next to you at night?! Sex means nothing to me, its a physical competition for dominance and control: I guess after I fully fell in love with you, I didn’t think I needed to plan out sex attacks to keep you in line. I just assumed you’d be as happy to have me as I am you.

Calm before the storm.

Sometimes, I go through such numb moments. Where I am not the girl who lost her mother to a brain tumour 8 months ago, where I don’t have a boyfriend with a broken family and enough drama to fuel an entire series of Brothers and Sisters, where my self-proclaimed brothers aren’t aspiring rockstars living in a love-fearing haze of smoke, where my best friend doesn’t want to run away from who people tell her she is and I don’t have 8 uni assessments in the next week. Sometimes I’m none of it. Just watching.

Not feeling anything. Just empty, watching. Mentally seeing it all in my head and being abnormally calm.
